Spellchecker.net has discontinued it’s free service, so no more spell checker @ neither G-Blog.net nor planetjumpgate.net. Shit happens, I guess.

SSX Tricky must be one of the finest PS2 games made to date. It looks gorgeous, it plays more than great, it has a boombastic soundtrack, it has special features on the DVD (making of, jukebox, character bios, voice talent interviews etc.)…

It was Dana’s X-mas present to me. We bought the original SSX a few days after getting our PS2 (that was a year ago), and I played it for weeks. The fun thing is that even people who never played video games are having much fun with it. No big learning curve or anything, just plain and simple fun. My mom for example. When they visited us, she wouldn’t stop playing SSX. It was kinda eerie. She just sat there, giggling, fighting for the best position. Heh. =)

And now I got SSX Tricky, and I simply love it. It’s one of those cool, stylish, in some aspects even old-fashioned racing games which are easy to beat but hard to master. I never expected to buy a snowboarding game, and now I already got two of ‘em. =) If you’re still unsure what to get for your PS2 after you’ve returned that fishing simulator your dad bought you: take a look at SSX Tricky, you might like it.

Saw LotR last night. Oh my God. Pure bliss… I was near tears a few times since everything was so overwhelming. Sure, there were a few CGI shots where you could see it was CGI, but hey, who cares.

Thank you, New Line Cinema.

Very strange… Today Netdevil took the publishing rights for Jumpgate back from 3DO. They run the game on their own servers now, and without going into the details of the story, I can only say, that it felt strange to log on to Jumpgate today.

The server felt… free.

It was a peaceful, yet all hyped up undertone; finally, the server is where it belongs – back in the hands of people who really care about this fine MMORPSS/MMOG/MMPU/whatever. The devs’ hands. And while I was flying around in my little Breeze, I was reminded of the good ol’ beta days. Sure, now it’s pay to play and the game has evolved quite a bit, but still… The US server, my “home turf”, actually felt like my home turf again. It felt like the surroundings and feelings I fell for when I first logged on two years ago.

Jumpgate has come home again. Welcome back. =)
