Dana bought herself one of the new Palm Zire after her old IIIx decided to start chewing up every battery in less than 7 days. I’m kinda surprised… she’s turning more and more into a geekette every day. Harrrrr… ;)

eMule – a 3rd-party, open-source eDonkey network client. Very neat.
I am supposed to show up on two different department breakfasts this morning. Yay! :)
Dana’s car is running again!
A propos Dana: she’ll be leaving for London tomorrow, staying there for the weekend, watching an on-stage Sean Bean in “MacBeth” with two friends. She’s totally excited about it. :)
w00t! syndic8.com and newsisfree.com have approved my requests for indexing my Google News RSS feeds. “Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta…”
Got the car back from the mechanic, by now the ignition coil, some cable stuff and an ignition-related control thingie got replaced. The battery was dead, so they gave me an used battery for free so I could get home. Very nice. German car repair bills being the pain in the ass they are, I left €600 there and went back to the office. The car was running smoothly, very nice. Back on the office parking lot I stopped the engine, then fired it up again …and now I know what an exploding battery sounds like.
The sucker literally exploded.
So I drove back there (I could ignite and drive, no problems there) and got my old battery back because a new one would’ve cost me another €90. Now I got the car back here on the parking lot, and it still needs a new battery.
This hog is a money sink. Got to get rid of it soon.
