Just a quick cross-post for those of you interested: my Amazon-to-Atom item/wishlist price watch service (how’s that for a short description?) Watchcow.net is now supporting German and UK wishlists. Up until now it was only possible to track price changes for single US/DE/UK items and US wishlist (price) changes. Now both single item watch and wishlist watch work for all three Amazon sites.
For more info on the subject, please read my related announcement on Watchcow.net.
The RvB guys were invited to Bungie for a rather lengthy Halo 2 preview session.. Nice write up. Here’s my personal “HOLY CRAP!” quote of the day:
[Quote] This time we were going to play Waterworks. Here’s what I learned from playing Waterworks. If anybody is yelling “stalactite!” just start running. There are huge stalactites on the ceiling that can be broken if shot enough, then they come crashing down destroying everyone under them. It was also a great map to try out all the new acrobatic tricks you can do with the banshee. You can dodge falling rocks with style. [Quote]
The Aluminium Foil Hat Brigade is really ticking me off (especially the very post of this anonymous poster John). Why are some people who don’t have a clue about how things work unwilling/incapable of discussing things before they start to complain in great volume?
I mean, geeeez, McSearchPreview is just adding some images to search engines. There’s no user tracking and no sending of usage reports or anything, it’s just adding some frickin’ images to a couple of sites. And they are concerned about the HTTP referrers.
Because, as we all know, “referrers == spyware!!!1OMFGWTFRUGAY”.
I’m starting to think the Intarweb isn’t my thing. It’s like a global asylum village sometimes.

Watchcow.net has a news section now. That should make communications much easier, methinks. Also, a few high-profile bloggers have at least noticed Watchcow.net yet, for instance, Jeremy Zawodny has put up a note in his link blog. I guess it’s not a bad start. If people start actually using the site and give me feedback, that’d be awesome.
