A few days ago I’ve visited the O’Reilly CodeZoo. Liking the site but noticing it was Java code only, I left some feedback about setting up more Zoos for different languages. Well, today I got a response. From my mailbox:

[Quote] Thanks much for your suggestion. We’re definitely considering adding support for Python, and it is one of the top two contenders for the next language to add; and we’re also looking at Ruby and Javascript. If you know other fans of these languages who would be interested in tabs on CodeZoo, please suggest that they let us know. Thanks for taking the time to write, and for helping to improve CodeZoo.

(Emphasis mine.) There you have it. So if you like any of these languages, go there and leave them a note.

Funny. That’s exactly what happened when Dana and I met the first time.

Anyways, Rob and Elliot – pretty nifty slash hilarious web comic. Don’t you just love the internet?

PS: The Mozilla Update site — the developer/author frontend, to be precise —, is an usability nightmare. It could really use some work. I know, it was broken and everything, but really, it’s a really strange experience.

I’ve just submitted the BetterSearch v1.8 beta build; I had the option to upload the XPI file (what I did), then there was a page where I could edit the description and enter some release notes, then there was a button labelled “Next”, and when I clicked that, the version was submitted, status was changed to pending, and I can’t edit it anymore. Seriously, this is silly.
